FAQ:

I am not sure if I want to audition for the group, can I still attend the auditions to learn?

Yes! Our educational team strives to give everyone auditioning a great educational experience. Whether you make the ensemble or not, our goal is to help you become a better percussionist and musician.

Should I bring my own drum to auditions?

IMPACT Percussion will provide instruments for a full drum line and front ensemble. However, we typically see more people attend auditions than we have instruments for. If you have access to a snare, tenor, or bass drum, you are encouraged to bring it – though it is not necessary.

What is the schedule for the 2023 season?

Please visit our Online Calendar for the most up-to-date schedule. Our first rehearsal camp after auditions is the November 19th – 20th weekend (Saturday & Sunday only).

What is the member fee for the 2023 season?

The membership fee for the 2023 season is $1,500. There is an early bird discount of $100 if paying in full before December 31, 2022 (making the total fee $1,400). Members will also be responsible for booking their own flight to Dayton, OH for the WGI World Championships in April. Visit the Dayton Trip Info Page for more information on this trip. The membership fee helps pay for costumes, props, staff, music, drill, equipment, instruments, rehearsal facilities, competition registration fees, food, housing, travel, and transportation while at competitions, and much more.

What is the age requirement to participate?

Anyone between the ages of 14 – 22 is eligible to audition and become a part of the ensemble. Per WGI rules, members cannot be over 22 years of age as of 12:01 am of April 1st of any given year. IMPACT Percussion will not accept any “rook-outs” for the 2023 season.
