IMPACT Percussion is proud to announce its 2026 program: Something I’m Made For
As artists, who do we create for? The viewer? Ourselves? Or, for the sake of the art itself? What are the questions we ask about our own lives along the way?
Amid the backdrop of a contemporary art gallery, “Something I’m Made For” explores the relationship between art and artist, and how creation mirrors our own search for meaning, identity, and connection. Relying on the music of Franz Liszt, Billie Eilish, and Lorne Balfe, IMPACT Percussion explores the parallels between the creative process and our own personal evolution. What were you made for?
The show features original music from Matt Hahn and Eric Yahrmarkt, and arrangements of:
- “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish
- “A Very Big Canvas” by Lorne Balfe
- “La Campanella” by Franz Liszt
