It was a dark night, but the storm had just cleared out. You could see a long way through the frozen air, but not as far as my girl had gone. I knew she was out there, somewhere in this endless nightmare we call a city. I had to find her, run away with her, so we could finally wake up and start a dream of our own.”

IMPACT Percussion is proud to announce its 2019 program: Shadows & Angles.

Trapped in a city full of crime and corruption, Shadows & Angles is a classic film noir story of a man’s attempt to escape a dark city with the woman he loves. Through smoky nightclubs, a police chase, street fights, and more, he must find the strength to break out of the city before it consumes him.

The show features original music from Matt Hahn, and “Who Wants to Live Forever” by Queen. Music from Robert Rodriguez, Duke Ellington, and Seatbelts also inspired the music for this gritty, jazz-infused production.

IMPACT’s show design team, made up of Chris Carrasco (Program Coordinator & Visual Designer), Matt Hahn (Front Ensemble Arranger & Sound Designer), Rudy Garcia (Battery Arranger), Josh Peterson (Ensemble Director), and Kade McKeever (Battery Caption Head), helped bring this idea to life.
